I KNOW THE ONE

"I Know the One" – A Song of Confidence in Jesus
By Brandy Morley

There’s a deep kind of peace that comes when you know—not just hope, not just wonder—but know who walks with you. That’s the foundation of my song “I Know the One.”

It’s easy to get overwhelmed by life. The storms come—unexpected, loud, sometimes relentless. We don’t always see the way forward. But in the middle of it all, I’ve found peace, not in my own strength or understanding, but in knowing the One who’s already gone before me.

“I know the One who made a way,
And calms the storm.”

Those words are more than lyrics. They’re my reality. I’ve watched God part waters I thought were impassable. I’ve felt Him whisper peace into places I thought were lost to chaos. I’ve seen Him move in power, right on time—even when I was running out of hope.

This song is a declaration of who Jesus is. He’s not just a name. He’s the name—above all names.

“He’s the greatest name,
The name of all names—Jesus.
I know the One.”

When I sing those words, I’m not singing about a distant God. I’m singing about my Savior. My friend. My anchor. The One who knows my name and carries my heart.

“I Know the One” is a simple reminder that no matter what we face, we don’t walk alone. We’re not trusting in luck or chance—we’re standing on the unshakable foundation of Jesus Christ.

So if you find yourself in a storm, or searching for a way, I pray this song helps you pause, breathe, and remember: You know the One who calms the winds. You know the One who makes a way when there is no way.

And His name is Jesus.

With all my heart,
Brandy Morley
