"It Is Written" – Standing on the Unshakable Word of God
By Brandy Morley

There are moments in life when everything around you feels uncertain. Circumstances shift, emotions rise and fall, and the voice of doubt tries to drown out the truth. But in those moments, I’ve learned to go back to one thing: what is written.

It Is Written was born out of a message preached by Pastor Kenny, reminding us that we have the mind of Christ, the power of Jesus, and that we lack nothing—not because we’ve earned it, but because God said so. That message ignited something deep within me, and the words began to flow.

This song is a declaration—a line-in-the-sand anthem of faith. It’s not about how I feel or what I see in the natural. It’s about what God has already declared in His Word. Every lyric is grounded in Scripture:

“It is written that I have strength, and I believe it.
It is written, I have peace, and I receive it.”

These are not just poetic lines. They are promises—truths spoken over every child of God. The Word says we are chosen, highly favored, made in His image. It says we are forgiven, free, and filled with the Spirit. And if He said it… we believe it.

As I wrote this song, I realized it was more than just a personal reminder. It was a weapon. A weapon for every believer who feels weak, unworthy, or unsure. When the enemy whispers lies, we answer back with the Word. When fear creeps in, we declare with boldness: “No weapon formed against me shall prevail.”

The bridge of the song is one of my favorite moments:

“Oh death, can I ask You one single thing?
Where is Your sting?”

Because even death has lost its grip when we stand on the truth of what is written.

It Is Written is more than a song—it’s a mindset, a foundation, a way of living rooted in the unchanging promises of God. My prayer is that as you listen, you’re reminded of who you are and whose you are. That your faith rises. That your spirit stands taller. And that you too will boldly say, “If it is written, I will believe it.”

With love and faith,
